About Venta Heating & Air

A family-operated HVAC contractor serving five counties of Southern California. CSLB #1138898 (C-20). Where comfort flows.

Venta Heating & Air is the trade name of Roman HVAC 777 LLC, a California-licensed HVAC contractor founded by Roman Abysov. We service residential and light-commercial heating and air conditioning across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, from West LA and the canyons through the San Gabriel Valley, the Inland Empire, and inland to the Ventura coast. Flat-rate pricing, written quotes before any work, no commission-driven sales pressure. CSLB #1138898 (C-20), fully insured, EPA Section 608–certified for refrigerant handling.

If you searched for our name and got results for "Venta Air" humidifiers (a German appliance brand), those are unrelated, we are an independent California HVAC contractor. The name overlap is coincidental. We chose "Venta" for its meaning, not for association with any product line. More on that below.

Our story

Roman Abysov founded the company because too much of the residential HVAC market in Southern California works against the homeowner instead of for them. The pattern is familiar: a $19.95 "service call" that turns into $480 on the invoice. Commission-paid technicians who recommend full system replacement when a $90 capacitor would solve the problem. Permit-skipping installs that look fine on day one and become a problem when the property goes to sale. Sales tactics borrowed from car dealerships applied to a building system that needs to last 15–20 years.

We built Venta Heating & Air around the opposite of that. Flat $85 diagnostic. Written quote, in plain language, before any work starts. No commission for our technicians on the parts and equipment they recommend, they get paid for doing the job right, not for upselling. Permits in your name. EPA 608 certification on every refrigerant job. If a system needs replacement, we will explain why and quote it honestly. If a $260 capacitor will fix it, that is what we install.

Why "Venta"?

"Venta" comes from the Latin ventus: wind, breath, the moving air that brings change of weather. In Spanish and Italian it survives as viento and vento. We chose it because the work we do is, at its core, moving conditioned air through people’s homes, cool air on a 100°F afternoon, warm air on a 38°F January morning, fresh air through filters and ductwork the rest of the year. The slogan, "Where comfort flows," follows from there.

Our mission

To be the contractor Southern California homeowners can call without the dread that usually accompanies booking an HVAC visit. That means:

  • Flat-rate, transparent pricing. The diagnostic fee is $85, written down before we start. The repair quote is in writing before we touch anything. No surprise additions to the invoice.
  • No commission-driven upsell. Our technicians do not earn a percentage of parts or equipment. They earn salary plus performance bonuses for clean diagnostics and warranty-free returns. The system is designed so doing the right job benefits everyone.
  • Real choices. When replacement is on the table, we quote two or three options: not just the highest-margin product line. You see the trade-offs and decide.
  • Permits and HERS in your name. Every install gets a city mechanical permit and the California Title 24 / HERS verification. Your record is clean at sale or insurance claim.

Our service area

We cover five Southern California counties through six regional dispatch routes. Each region has a dedicated phone and email so calls go to a real person who knows the area, not a routed call center.

Licenses and credentials

  • CSLB License #1138898: California Contractors State License Board, classification C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning. The required license class for residential and light-commercial HVAC work in California. Verify any time at cslb.ca.gov.
  • EPA Section 608 certification on every technician handling refrigerant: federally required for R-410A and R-454B work.
  • General liability and workers’ compensation insurance per California state requirements.
  • Bonded per CSLB requirements.
  • TECH Clean California registered contractor: we file heat pump rebate applications on your behalf and deduct the rebate from your invoice. See TECH rebates guide.

Our technicians

Every technician on our roster holds EPA Section 608 certification (federal refrigerant-handling requirement) and goes through ongoing manufacturer training as new equipment lines are released. We hold or pursue North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification for technicians where applicable to their specialty, the industry-standard advanced credential beyond state licensing. Equally important: every technician is local to the Southern California climate and housing stock. The right way to size an AC for a 1928 Spanish bungalow in Highland Park is not the same as the right way to size one for a 2018 contemporary in Diamond Bar, and our crews know the difference.

Brands we service

We are factory-certified or factory-trained on all major residential HVAC brands: Carrier and Carrier Infinity, Lennox and Lennox Signature, Trane and Trane XV variable-speed, Daikin and Daikin Fit, Mitsubishi multi-zone, Rheem, Goodman, Bryant, American Standard, Amana, and others. Brand-agnostic recommendations, we will tell you when the equipment in your home is fine to repair and when it is at end of life. See our full brands page.
